Wedding Presents OR House Remodeling... You be the judge

I need help deciding on what to do about the kitchen table. I really like the runner (pic num one)

Table option number one.

but cant really eat with it on the table because it is so wide and the plates don't lay flat. And the placemats don't fit. See the placemats in the corner under the bowl- do they look okay there?

Or should I go with table option number two??But I am not sure if I like the four placemats so much (pic two).

It is okay. What do you think?? Maybe I could set up the runner and place all four placemats in a pile in the center. Hmmmm. I'll have to try some diff options out.

Then onto the bathroom. Look at how nice and totally faboo. Kyle said our place is getting so girly it now needs candles. AFTER... he put candles on the bathroom thingy. What a dork.


New bathroom thingy. The colors are kind of funky, those towells are green and dark grey and they aren't falling out. It looks like they are to me on the bottom right of the shelf. They fit perfect (and make a soft pillow to lean back against while using...)

Finally, onto the shoes.


Shoes before. How many pairs of shoes could we possibly need? I'm scared. Trout (the cat) is indiffernt.

OH MY GOD!! Look at all our shoes. So many!! What do I need so many shoes for, I only have two feet! We got rid of a bunch of pairs. BUT this beaut adds so much space. I can say "Hey I want to wear "these" shoes" AND THERE THEY WILL BE. As long as I put them away EVERY time I wear them. Oh well, it can't be worse than it was before.

Just so you know I was very strategic in taking my pictures, because the rest of the house is in SHAMBLES!! I am really excited that one whole room is entirely clean (the dining room) but since I moved a huge portion of the crap into the kitchen, does it really matter?

We had a lot of fun at Target today. We also replaced our pots and pans with some really nice ones. (one is chipped, so we are going to take it back. Just hoping we don't have to return the WHOLE set. what a pain.)

Anyways... I am still working on the swing coat sweater. It is coming along nicely after tearing out about six inches. What miserable work that was. But somehow I made a huge measurement error and I was making a size 8 (childrens) as opposed to the 4 I was supposed to be knitting. Off I go, time for bed.

Wedding Pictures

The wedding party. All of the group pics are weird, because they were just what was taken with a digital camera by friends while the photographer was taking the real ones. That is why we don't seem to be looking at the camera. So I don't have many pics yet but here is a sample.

Teagan. We bought this dress and it had a pink and green plaid ribbon. NO GOOD. So mom and I found this orange polka-dot and she sewed two lengths together to make the cutest center edge. Teagan was so excited to wear it. And the day after the wedding she asked Tara if they were going to another party.


Here is the dessert table. We had carrotcake cupcakes with creamcheese frosting on the bottom teir made by my best friend Jessica and her family. The cake is freckeled mocha with a kahlua filling (mouse I think) and a butter cream frosting (2nd teir) made by my sister Tara. And the top teir is brownies made by a family friend Tammy (they are kind of hard to see). We loved it all!!

Kyle's best man, Andy, made us a lite brite coffee table. Pretty cool!!

We got an ice cream maker as a wedd pres. Here is our first batch. Vanilla with Heath and Milky Way bits. It was (it's already gone) DELICIOUS!! 

Disneyland...

The following are pictures from Disneyland. We had a really good time. Teagan has been asking to go back. Tara thought if she told her that they would have to go back to the airport and back on an airplane and that it was really far away maybe Teagan would give up. But while talking to Teagan on the phone today she let me know she was going to the airport, on an airplane and then gonna ride on the horsey, dumbo and the rocket ship. Sorry Tara, plan failed.

Everyone had a great time (including Kyle, who hates all Disney related stuff) and enjoyed the trip. But we are ALL grumpy from so much stuff in so few days. I need a vacation to recover from my vacation.


Tara was mad she did not bring her Chacos with her, they are the best shoes!!!!!!!!!

Teagan got tired and decided to take a break (we got A LOT of weird looks!)

Look at the happy married couple, on our honeymoon (with my parents, sister, sister's sig. other, and niece...ROMANTIC). Anyways, that's the parents in the caged car behind us. 

Yeah...Kyle can drive me now. He got a drivers license!! WOO-HOO. Oh wait, he can only do it on a track. It was a nice change for 10 minutes anyways. (And he was pretty good, I think he can get the ol' drivers license after this practice!)

On the way out of Disneyland, Teagan decked out with new goods. A hat with her name. A Minnie doll from Gramby. And a balloon (that I am not sure how it lasted the whole day.)
