Six Feet

What do you do with 6 feet of yarn? Anything. Can you do anything? I hate to throw it away!

Maybe a cat toy!

Answer:

You make a cat toy that your cat could care less about!

I hear you on the cleaning the house thing - it has to be done, but when? My motivation has clearly been lacking in that department lately!

Does Trout like to play with any toys at all? I've been playing 'grasshopper' with Willow lately. Just as she pounces on the bit of plastic tape (tied to a long piece of yarn), it hops away like a grasshopper... She even tries to get it when I put it away in the desk! They like super-ball pounce and kitty-bow-tie (knit item, Sally's fave) too.

Oh! How are the socks coming?

Trout used to play catch. Back in her younger fitter days. She is VERY particular about the balls she will play with. They are a type of foam. Anyways, in the summer we would open the front door and throw the ball out the door and she would bring it back to us. Every now and then she will still attack one of the balls when I find it under the bed (or some such place) and toss it out for her.

And the other day, in an effort to help her lose some weight we tied some fleece to the end of the homemade fishing pole I made for Kyle for X-Mas and had her go after that while we played games at the table. She enjoyed it!

The socks are coming along, they were, however abandoned for the cable scarf. But I will get back to them tonight!

I attempted a little sock-progress tonight too ;o)

Hooray for Trout! She will be a happier cat too, if she likes to play with you ;o)

I'm worried Willow doesn't play as much as Sally -- so we have played 'grasshopper' every morning this week -- she woke me up this morning (at six) meyowling to play!
